I have a Google Pixel 7, a few months old, purchased from John Lewis. I have an up to date SIM card. My plan is 12M SIM Essential Plan.
I don't get 5G even where I should. I am sure the phone is capable of getting 5G.
Is this a setting issue, or do I need to play more for an upgraded SIM plan please?

Hi @paulrcurtis
Is 5G activated under network settings.
5G isnt available everywhere (the signal checker is estimated) and does not work well indoors.
Thanks

Hi Northener,
On the Pixel 7, there is no '5G' setting (as far as I can see).
Settings -> Network and Internet- > SIMs -> Connect to a mobile network -> Automatically Select Network
and you get this:
If there is another setting for 5G, then I can't see it. I have tried this in various locations.

Here are searches for 'Network Settings' and '5G':

No-one with a Pixel 7?

Yes, and I have the same issue!
New Pixel 7 (1 month old) and I also can't find any setting to enable 5G even though the phone is advertised as supporting it.
I have never been able to connect to 5G even in locations where it must surely be available (central London, Edinburgh etc)
I came here looking for an answer... Hopefully someone has one

Bumping up this thread, experiencing this problem on my Pixel 7a, from what I've seen I've never connected to 5G I changed from Vodafone to EE and no difference. I hope someone can actually help.

Good afternoon @KevinMD.
Welcome to the community.
Are you running on the latest Android version?
Have you been able to check the coverage checker to ensure you are in areas that have 5G available?
