Hi so I just received my new pay monthly phone and sim, sim is in the phone but keeps losing signal, when I do have signal it says not registered on network when I try to call someone? Please help!

Is this an upgrade phone using an existing number, or a brand new connection?

Does this happen in more than one area? 

Can you send and receive texts?

So sometimes it lets me send a text, other times it’ll say “waiting for connection” even when I have a bar or 2 of signal? I currently have full signal and can’t call anyone as it says “not registered on network” it seems to let me do wifi calls tho?

Do we have any reported problems for the area showing on the EE Coverage & Network Status Checker | Check your signal if you select 'check status' after entering your postcode and phone model?

Just had a look, no outages or problems and it says I should be getting full signal, only got the phone and SIM card today so not sure why it’s not working properly
