My new phone has no ee service in Birmingham. Is this a network issue impacting all users? If it is a network issue when will repairs be completed?

Hello @Nomorebeans.
Have you ever received service on your new phone?
You can check for any local network issues HERE.

The phone worked until the morning of Wednesday 12 July.
I tried the link to ee network issues it says all service OK. When I contacted ee support they said there is no service in Birmingham!

Birmingham is a large city, with several hundred network sites. If there was a complete outage of EE service across the whole city, I dread to think how many users would be reporting issues!
What does the status checker report for the specific postcode location you're having problems in? The alternative is that there is a problem with your new phone - does your old phone still work in the same location?

The new phone has service if I put a Vodafone PAYG sim card in it so I don't think it's an issue with the new phone. I guess it is either an issue with the ee sim card or the network signal where I am.
The ee status checker says everything is fine where I am.

Hi @Nomorebeans
Thanks for coming back to us.
Are you able to try the EE SIM card in another phone to see if any signal shows?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

I went back to the shop I bought the phone from and they replaced the sim card which solved the issue
