I've had to spend 2 hours at the doctors because I can't receive calls from them. This could be a life threatening situation if my daughter couldn't have got me to the doctors.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I live in a small village in Scotland, if i didn't have full fibre then I would be totally cut off

Can you explain a bit more? Does your phone not show the WiFi-calling indicator?
You didn't mention a phone software update in your first post.

There is no indicator showing just emergency calls only
I think I mentioned it somewhere about the update but wasn't sure because rarely use except for taxis and doctors, so may or may not have anything to do with problem.

Hey @Jianna.
Welcome to the Community!
Please keep us posted on how things go when testing your SIM in a different handset, and it's worth checking what network your neighbour is using too.
Based on what you've described it does sound like this is more the device / SIM rather than the network, so I'd definitely recommend giving that update a try.
Please keep us posted on how things go, too.

My neighbour has had to go to work so won't be able to check until this evening. Everything was working ok as far as I know until I updated the mobile.
there is a lot of reported faults with EE at the moment and broadband is not very stable, so that also makes having a landline not an option.
I can't register phone/sim as they send a passcode which I can't receive

I've just had a notification that sim 1 is not provisioned after restarting my phone. there isn't anything I can do about this as I can't call out or receive messages..... any help would be greatly appreciated. There are no phone shops around here and the nearest is 4 hours away by train

Tried to order an esim and this message came up......
Connection Error
Sorry we couldn't connect you. If you continue to experience issues please contact us and quote Error Code: TS-0003.
That is on the PC I'm using just now
This is getting stupid in this day and age

Hey again @Jianna, have you done anything regarding your SIM recently?
From what you've described here the SIM is inactive, so could this have switched to a different SIM?

I've managed to call EE on my neighbours phone. They are sending a new sim. Nothing wrong with my phone, but 'maybe ' the update has affected my sim . I'll hopefully receive the sim on Saturday.
In the meantime I'll but another phone and a payg sim as I can't be without a means to communicate with my doctor or to call for outside help.

Thanks for the update here, @Jianna.
I'm confident that this should get things resolved for you, but please keep us posted on how things go!
You take care,
Peter
