I have just purchased a new iPhone (14) - now very poor signal, audio and calls dropping out, this never happened with my older iPhones. I have checked signal in area and ee tell me all is fine, what should I do? I have used the old sim from my old phone which it says is compatible with my new phone - could this be the issue? Really welcome advice as the new phone is almost unusable. The issue only seems to happen when I am at home though and intermittently. Sometimes, a call is fine fir 20 minutes then cuts out as if signal drops. Please help!

If you put your SIM back in your old phone, do the same problems happen? Do you know anyone else who uses EE locally, who has similar problems?
These would be good tests of whether the new phone has an issue.

It is the same sim I used without problems in my old iPhone. I should add that I put the sim in my partner’s iPhone 13 and the same problem occurs! This is so worrying as it has made my phone almost unusable.
Any advice so welcome!

Hi @CB261,
Are you only having this problem in one location or everywhere?
Is your partner on EE? If they are, are they having any issues?

I am having this problem just inside my home - and nowhere else. My partner is on ee (but on a pay as you go sim) and has no issues at all. I have used the ee signal/status checker and ee has reported back to me that there are no issues in my street and I should be getting 5g and 4g inside and outside with 'excellent' coverage.

No, wifi calling is off ... I try not to use data via wifi calling and have never used it

Hi @Cb361,
Turning on WiFi Calling will route your calls over your home broadband connection and should resolve any indoor coverage issues you're experiencing.

Thanks James ... I will try that ... does it use lots of data to make a wifi call?

Hi @Cb361,
It uses your home broadband data, rather than mobile, which is usually unlimited.
Hope this helps.
