Network constantly saying ‘searching’

Since waking up this morning 16/07/22, my phone network has been saying ‘searching’ at the top of my phone screen. I cannot make any outgoing or incoming phone calls, can’t make any text messages or use data roaming. Not sure what has been going on but I have done an area check on the service and it comes up with no issues. I need help? As cannot make any phone calls to EE sue to no service.

@hollylewis98   What’s data roaming got to do with it ?  That’s for when your not in the UK.   Have you tried restarting the device?   Have you tried cleaning the sim with a damp cloth ? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

As mentioned, roaming is when you're using your phone other than on your home network - hence data roaming being irrelevant.

 

Restarting your phone is always a good check, if you still have no service then one of two things has happened.

 

1: There is an, as yet undiagnosed, network issue in your area. Check with friends & family locally who use EE, and if necessary, click on "report a problem" on the online status tool.

 

2: There's a problem with your phone or account. Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly?
