Mobile phone mast

Hello!

I am a Parish Councillor for a village in Norfolk and my colleagues and parishioners have been in discussion for a number of years about the telephone signal and lack of mast in the area.  Our village and lack of mobile coverage has also hit parliament in recent weeks.

Planning went ahead in 2019 and a site was proposed but due to circumstances it was never erected.

Who do we contact to discuss this? We are keen for a mast to be erected in the village or surrounding area.

Thanks Amanda

What are the circumstances as to why the build of this site was never progressed? I know of a few examples where this has happened, it's not common.

Do you have a link to the approved planning application?

Morning @Amandamurphy

Thanks for coming to the community.

Could I just check, do you own the land?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

No, but as a Parish council we have some land in mind and are happy to discuss options.

many thanks

Part of the site rollout process includes a lease agreement with a willing landlord, hence third parties are not in a position to negotiate that - however well-intentioned.

Local councils can support planning applications for new site builds when they occur - too often it's the other way around.
