The status checker generally reports sites with recognised faults, an increase in data traffic is not generally regarded as such.
I'm not EE staff and don't know the specifics of your case, but it would be usual for replacement parts to be fitted as soon as possible once available. There may be another dependency if this has not been done. If you want to discuss your individual account you should contact CS to do so, the status checker is the quickest source of updates otherwise.
