Having Issues with EE Mobile Network Connectivity and Customer Service

Hello there,

I have been experiencing with my EE mobile network. Over the past couple of months;, I have noticed a significant decline in network performance.

Regardless of where I am whether at home; work; or traveling my phone often shows only one or two bars of signal strength. This happens even in areas where I pre;viously had excellent coverage.

Calls drop unexpectedly and frequently. This is; particularly problematic as I rely on my phone for both personal and professional communications.

My 5G data speeds are inconsistent and often very slow; making it difficult to stream; videos; browse the internet; or use apps that require data.;

Restarted my phone multiple times
Checked for software updates and installed them
Reset network settings
Removed and reinserted the SIM card
Despite these efforts; the issues persist. I have also contacted EE customer service multiple times. While they have been courteous; the solutions provided have been temporary at best. I am feeling quite frustrated and am seeking advice from this community.

Also, I have gone through this post: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Mobile-Network-discussions/Re-Is-it-just-me-or-is-ee-phone-signal-poor...minitab/td-p/1344998 which definitely helped me out a lot.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so; how did you resolve them? Are there any specific steps or settings I should check that might not be immediately obvious? Additionally; any tips on effectively; communicating these issues to customer service to get a more permanent solution; would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help and assistance.

Hi @SAM1015,

Does the Network Status Checker report any problems in the locations where you're having issues?

There's a popular misonception that "only one bar" is a bad thing, which is not necessarily so. Different phones calculate the displayed bars differently, and often a weaker perceived signal can mean a higher-band carrier is in use - if that carrier is usable, then better performance can be expected.

It's dropped calls and/or slower data that's the issue. If you're using Android, does VoLTE show on-screen when calls drop? Check for your ability to use mobile data whilst on calls, that's a good sign of 4G-voice being used rather than 2G.
