Is your daughter on pay-monthly or PAYG? The process for activation works differently.

Having said that, you mention it worked fine abroad previously - which suggests EE's activation has been done. That would suggest the problem may have been with a local network in the country your daughter was in. Restarting her phone and/or manually selecting an alternative network is the standard advice in these circumstances.

All that was tried by eye technical

none of it helped

having just spoke with her other people in her group with ee had the same issue

seems it is a network issue which even their own techs don’t know how to resolve

Once roaming is activated on EE's UK network, there is no reason for it become deactivated unless the user explicitly requests it to be.

Once roaming is activated, the ability of the local network in foreign countries to allow roaming phones to connect, is outside EE's control.

Being a support forum, users tend not to post messages on here reporting good service - you will only generally see posts from people with problems.

Won’t that fill everybody full of confidence
