I am based on Scotland. And compared to past EE mobile network has changed from good to worse. All after 3G switching off. I have a Samsung S22 ultra. The EE issues experienced and this is nothing to do with phone or sim. Ad they have been changed and tested..
1) Network signal very bad.
2) 5G or 4G data speeds vary massively and sometimes no Internet issue noticed.
3) when on a call 4G/5G data stops functioning.
When will EE resolve 4G and set 5G SA, routing 5G data and calls over 5G network. As this poor network is causing a lot of battery drain, due to phone hunting for signal.

Hi @s0787671
Welcome to the community.
Is this happening in a specific area in Scotland? If so, what is the estimated coverage showing like for that area on our coverage checker?

3G switch-off should have been barely noticeable for any 4G user, all factors considered.
I'm not sure what you mean by your phone "has been tested", but where in Scotland are you? It's a big place, very geographically diverse.
4G is EE's base layer, can you expand on the specifics of "network signal very bad"? It could mean different things to different people.

I am based in Dundee. And as I said it's just terrible EE network. Since BT took over, I believe has gone down the drain. Service is terrible, tech support is poor.
I was given a full year of monthly charges rapid to stick with them, as they hope to put a tower close by. But it's all false hope. I have raised the complaint ombasdam. Which I believe gets charged to EE and then does get recorded. As EE does need a kick in the back to sort themselves.

Ee coverage for Dundee, shows good 4G ans 5G. Woth 100gb of data and unlimited calls. I see that I can't even get a decent signal. And that's the reality of EE. Falsifying their website to scam people.

BT Group completed the financial purchase of EE long before any branding changes were implemented.
Is there a specific area of Dundee you're having issues with? As with any sizeable conurbation, there's several dozen network sites there. 4G coverage should be near blanket, 5G not necessarily so.

Having been with EE a few years I've never had an issue until 2024. I drive all over the North of Scotland and live in Inverness. Signal always been good, until last year. The signal quality is shocking and half the calls end up with everyone sounding like robots or dropping. This is now at the point where are using Messenger to call people.
Have tried Wifi calling (EE Broadband) and also turning that off. Even on Wifi calling it's shockingly bad. Come renewal time I can see all devices moved to another provider.

Hi @al1975
Welcome to the community.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some problems with your service. Have you spoken with our technical support team? They'll be able to run through some troubleshooting with you and check the performance of the masts in your area.
