Update: 21 November 2025

Over the past few days, our engineers have integrated the mast onto the network. The mast is now on-air restoring full service to Market Harborough.

We will continue to monitor the performance in the area.

Update: 11 November 2025

Over the past month, our engineers have installed the transmission needed for the new mast and will start integrating the mast onto the network in the next few weeks. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the mast to be on-air by the end of November.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 10 October 2025

Over the past few weeks, our engineers have completed building the equipment needed for the new mast. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect the transmission to be installed by the beginning of November. Once the transmission has been installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the replacement mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We are in the process of replacing a mast in the Market Harborough area as the current lease has expired.

A replacement site location has been found and we’re in the process of building the mast. However, due to some unforeseen complications, it is not yet live.

We'll update this post once we have more information.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience. In the meantime, you might be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts.

The END of November?!

Embarrassing for EE. Knock another month off my bill please. You should do this automatically for anyone in the LE16 postcode rather than making us call up and chase you.

Signal has deteriorated further in the last 24 hours - how have you managed to make it WORSE?!

Please confirm you have automatically adjusted everyone affected’s bill for November?

If it’s an issue in relation to a lease expiring, wouldn’t that be within EE’s control?

Another user and my wife are finding the same as Mr Blyth that signal has deteriorated further in last Two days. The local MP Neil O’Brien is now taking up the case as well with EE MP executive team as the local school and medical centre are affected by these issues now

I think the new mast is now live! I switched off wifi on my phone and INSIDE my house on Granville Street I am seeing these speeds with 5G:

Download: 605Mbps

Upload: 7.04 Mbps

Last week I was getting:

Download: 1.87Mbps

Upload: 0.50Mbps

I have never seen an EE download speed this high before.

4Mbps in the town centre suggests otherwise…

Perhaps you connected to it whilst they’re testing bringing it online, encouraging if so, but it’s definitely not fully on.

Interesting. I got the same results yesterday. When I switch my phone to WiFi , I get:

Download: 922Mbps
Upload: 106Mbps

This is using my EE 900 broadband - the WiFi speeds are high because I’m using a Pixel 10 Pro XL and a Deco Mesh system, both using WiFi 7.

Back to 5G:

Download: 507Mbps
Upload: 6.64Mbps

These figures are from Speedtest. Using Fast.com it shows 340Mbps/28Mbps

Afternoon, happy to confirm things are looking MUCH better! Never used to be able to get anything more than 30Mbps at home so can’t complain about now getting 500Mbps.

Still not impressed that it took this long to get anything back at all, but happy with the outcome now we’re finally back. Cheers!
