Update: 21 November 2023

Over the past few weeks, our engineers have completed integrating the mast onto the network and full service has been restored to the Harraby/Garlands area.

We will continue to monitor performance in the area.

Update: 04 October 2023

Over the past few months, our engineers have been working with the fibre provider to arrange a date for the leased line to be installed. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the leased line to be installed by the end of November. Once the leased line has been installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We are aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Harraby/Garlands area of Carlisle. Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in July 2023, as this was requested by the landowner.

Our engineers began looking for a new location as soon as we were made aware our equipment had to be removed, and we have located a new area. We have completed building the equipment needed for the new mast and are working with the fibre provider to install a leased line to provide power to the mast, with the estimated lead time for the leased line installation being 3 months. Once we have a date for the leased line to be installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.

For information on who can use WiFi Calling and how to set up this service, please see our EE WiFi Calling: All you need to know, article.

Whatever you do, for your own sake do not do this.

this will just cause a debt on your account it will report back to credit reference agencies and will show a black mark against your name.

doing this won’t “stick it to the man”. As you will get called by collections who only want to collect.

you’re better going to the website and making a complaint for a call back. Then you can get credit / early release from your contract going the correct ways.

We have 2 ‘mobile’ phones (sorry WI Fi mobiles)with EE.

Now I know why I keep getting texts from EE, ‘problems in your area, we do apologise’.
‘the problem has now been fixed, please restart your phone’

It is now becoming a bit of a joke, EE should be recompensing their users now.

This has gone on far too long now.

So far I've had 2 months refunded. Ask them for a call back. Might take a few days. They're saying November now so I'll be wanting another 2 month rebate plus more

I got a call back from them after a put in a complaint.  Because I have WiFi at home and get WiFi calling they aren't really interested in the fact that out on the street I get nothing. And they said my phone is connecting to secondary masts. They offered to refund half my bill for 2 months.

I'm now looking at other providers.

Same here Cubby24. Got a phone back, even broke up talking to them.

Eventually managed a chat. Use WiFi because we don't guarantee indoor service. ( Are you for real ). I've never had to switch WiFi on to use a phone. At least my phone does have the feature, what if not - suck it up buttercup.

Not really mobile if I have to use another service I pay someone else for is it.

Just blah blah, can I close the case now.

You're connecting to other secondary masts. Offered Nothing.

Also looking at other providers now. At least I'm only on 30 day eSim deal.

Oh just so you know there was a guy working beside the mast today.  Keep shouting people..

I eventually moved from EE to Smarty (Three). They have great coverage around Carlisle and I managed to get unlimited data for £15 a month with Smarty. Over Half that I was paying with EE, and it works.

I’ve not had signal in and around my house (Upperby)  since late July is this due to the same issue and if so when will it be sorted as 3 months of worse than early 2000’s signal in 2023 is a joke considering the monthly bill.
