Our engineers have had a slight delay completing the upgrades on the mast to improve capacity and service in the area. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect to have all work completed by the middle of January.

Update: 11 December 2025
Over the past few weeks, our engineers have installed the microwave link needed for the transmission and integrated the mast onto the network. The new mast is now on-air, and to further improve coverage to the area, our engineers will be completing upgrades on the mast to increase capacity and improve service in Great Blakenham. We expect all work to completed by the end of next week.
We will continue to monitor performance in the area.
Update: 10 November 2025
Over the past few weeks, the power company has accessed the site and installed the power supply needed for the new mast. Our engineers will be completing surveys in the next week to make sure the equipment will be suitable for a microwave link to be installed, to supply transmission to the mast. Pending a positive outcome from the surveys, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.

Update: 22 October 2025
Our engineers are working with the power company to arrange a date to access the area and install the power supply and transmission needed for the new mast. Once the power supply has been installed, we can start integrating the mast onto the network.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect all work to be completed and the mast to be on-air by the end of 2025.

We are in the process of replacing a mast in the Great Blakenham area as the current lease has expired.
Our engineers have completed building the equipment for the new mast. The next step is for power and transmission to be installed. Once complete, we will be able to share an approximate on-air date.
We'll update this post once we have more information.

Come on EE just please give all of us an answer to when you are going to get this mast up and running or are you going to not bother just give us a straight answer not more excuses like there a power problem it will be only off for 2 hours not 2 months

I escalated a formal complaint to the Executive Complaints Team 3 weeks ago.
They seem to be hiding behind each other at EE and nobody is willing to provide any definitive answers or dates. I suspect something has gone wrong somewhere as no accountability is being taken.
I therefore doubt we will have any signal this year.
I couldn't even get a proper name from the 'executive' 🤔
"Thank you for your email. My name is M and I am emailing from the Executive Complaints Team regarding your recent email...."
On querying the name, as my complaint has bow gone forward to the ombudsman and as it's official I need to names & dates of those I've spoken with. I got this in the follow-up email.
I can confirm ..... my name is "M"....... Apologies for any confusion, and I am glad to have cleared this up.
Who does that? I actually feel sorry for "M" they must be feeling ashamed and embarrassed I imagine.
I suggest everyone goes straight to the ombudsman. There is no need to wait 8 weeks. EE issue a deadlock letter straight away..
They seem to be going to the deadline with the ombudsman, as for me, that's Wednesday. I am not asking for money, I am asking to be provided with broadband temporarily so that I can make/receive wifi calls, as I have no alternative other than driving off in my car a few miles to make a call.

Come on EE, about time you gave us all an update? I’ve been past the new mast & no microwave dishes have been installed yet to link it to the network. Any update????!

Still no update still no service can you just please tell use when this mast is going to come online or are you no going to bother switching in on for the for the foreseeable future you have just left us all in the dark

Why are you not giving us a date for the mast switch on is it because you don't know or are you not going to switch it on this year give your customers an answer so we can make other arrangements over Christmas l will say this again terrible customer service just reply to these post please

I've also filed an official complaint with EE, with a view to escalating this to the Ombudsman

Is this now fixed? For the first time in ages I have some signal today. The updates have been shocking on this post so would be nice for some confirmations

Yes looks like the new mast is up & running finally! there is now a microwave dish attached on the new mast for connection to the network. Thanks EE for your constant updates 🙄

Well that's great news if it's true 👍.
Unfortunately I've had to come away for a week to do some online work and get my online Xmas shopping done. All costing me extra cash I don't have. Shame there is no communication as I wouldn't have had to bother had I known👎
I can head home now, if it's definitely back!
