Update: 13 March 2025
Over the past month, our engineers have found further work on the build is needed. Unfortunately, this has delayed the power supply being installed to provide power for the new mast. We expect all work to be completed and the power to be installed by the beginning of May. Once the power has been installed, we can confirm an approximate date for the integration to start and the mast to be on-air.

Update: 06 September 2022
Our engineers have been made aware the area we had located and completed surveys for planning permission will no longer be available for the new mast to be built on the area, this is due to a clerical error with land ownership.
As soon as we were made aware the land we had originally surveyed and requested planning permission for was no longer an option for the mast, our engineers located another area at the same site for the mast to be situated. Our engineers are working with the council to complete surveys at the new area to make sure the area will be health and safety compliant and apply for planning permission from the landowner.

Update: 17 December 2020
Over the past few months our engineers have been working on a new location for the mast in Craven Arms.
We initially found a possible location for the replacement site, and progressed with surveys of the area. However, the survey showed that the area was unsuitable for the mast, and a new location was needed.
We located an alternative area for the new mast and completed all surveys. However, this location was being used as a COVID testing site and the build was delayed by a number of months. This has now ended, and we expect the mast to be built and on air by the end of March 2021.
We will continue to keep you updated on this post.
Update: 14 May 2020
Thank you for the feedback that has been provided. After monitoring the mast’s performance since the upgrades have been completed, we have found the replacement site is not yet providing the level of coverage we’re aiming for.
Work is continuing so that we can make further improvements, and we are looking for possible locations for a new site in the area.
We will continue to keep you updated on this post.
Update: 28 January 2020

We’d value your feedback on the service you’ve received in the area since the improvements have been completed.
To give feedback, please tap reply below and this will help us monitor the performance and improve coverage in the long-term.
We’re aware of an ongoing signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Craven Arms area.
Our mast in the area has been replaced and we’ve found the replacement mast is not providing as much coverage as the previous mast. Because of this, we’ve looked at ways to improve coverage, and during January our engineers will be installing upgrades on the mast.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, if you’re an EE pay monthly customer with a compatible phone you can use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.

We have had no coverage in craven arms for 2yrs now. I’ve read EE’s explanations and found them quite laughable. They’re the same every time, just cut and pasted and put up again and again. Your making yourselves look like complete imbeciles and quite frankly I don’t think you’ll ever have the skills to fix the problem and end this misery. But that’s just how you like it, country bumpkins don’t need phones I’m sure that’s been discussed by the EE bosses. ?? I’m sure it’s time to get trading standards in, let them have a look at the situation.

Access to some areas of land can be problematic, military land etc. However the land that EE require for the cell site is probably not. This is Shropshire not the Welsh mountains. Of course it maybe a "nimby" farmer, landowner or a country bumkin delaying the access, unless EE had decided to be the mast up Snowden to ensure coverage. EE are part of BT so I guess we can expect shoddy performance. EE are better than BT fast broadband, despite the cable running down the road BT can't deliver it to my house unless I pay a considerable amount of money

Thanks for the update but it seems the update has been basically the same for the last year. Service is even worst lately dropping out. I see EE are doing Fibre broadband. No good here I am afraid. Too far out for the fibre to get here. This issue is becoming a brand damaging issue and as more people work from home in the area or depend on the service for life support perhaps a more meaningful update with approved timescales would be beneficial

Despite contact from EE (to say the problem has been fixed) in the last few weeks there is still no coverage in Bromfield.
I am 14 months into a two year contract and coverage has gone from poor to nothing quite early on in the contract. I can't make or receive calls unless I go to somewhere like Ludlow which is approx. 3 miles away.
I am beginning to wonder whether this matter will get sorted before my contract ends!
Here's hoping for an improvement.

The transmitter that services Craven Arms and the surrounding area has been down since November 2019. EE say it’s because they can’t gain access to it. Are you feeling fobbed off yet?? Don’t forget this is a multi million pound company. Do you feel sorry for them yet? What a joke of a company, cant even sort a simple problem. I’m sure if it was in a major town or city it would of been sorted by now. GET IT SORTED EE.
