Update: 13 March 2025
Over the past month, our engineers have found further work on the build is needed. Unfortunately, this has delayed the power supply being installed to provide power for the new mast. We expect all work to be completed and the power to be installed by the beginning of May. Once the power has been installed, we can confirm an approximate date for the integration to start and the mast to be on-air.

We have submitted site drawings for the area to the council for approval, once this step is completed and the designs are approved, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the new mast. Barring any unforeseen complications, we expect all legal steps to be completed and build to start by February 2023.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 06 September 2022
Our engineers have been made aware the area we had located and completed surveys for planning permission will no longer be available for the new mast to be built on the area, this is due to a clerical error with land ownership.
As soon as we were made aware the land we had originally surveyed and requested planning permission for was no longer an option for the mast, our engineers located another area at the same site for the mast to be situated. Our engineers are working with the council to complete surveys at the new area to make sure the area will be health and safety compliant and apply for planning permission from the landowner.
We will keep you updated on this post.

We expect the new mast to be on air by the end of August 2021, barring any unforeseen delays.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 17 December 2020
Over the past few months our engineers have been working on a new location for the mast in Craven Arms.
We initially found a possible location for the replacement site, and progressed with surveys of the area. However, the survey showed that the area was unsuitable for the mast, and a new location was needed.
We located an alternative area for the new mast and completed all surveys. However, this location was being used as a COVID testing site and the build was delayed by a number of months. This has now ended, and we expect the mast to be built and on air by the end of March 2021.
We will continue to keep you updated on this post.
Update: 14 May 2020
Thank you for the feedback that has been provided. After monitoring the mast’s performance since the upgrades have been completed, we have found the replacement site is not yet providing the level of coverage we’re aiming for.
Work is continuing so that we can make further improvements, and we are looking for possible locations for a new site in the area.
We will continue to keep you updated on this post.
Update: 28 January 2020
Our engineers have now completed the required upgrades on the mast to improve coverage in Craven Arms.
We’d value your feedback on the service you’ve received in the area since the improvements have been completed.
To give feedback, please tap reply below and this will help us monitor the performance and improve coverage in the long-term.
We’re aware of an ongoing signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Craven Arms area.
Our mast in the area has been replaced and we’ve found the replacement mast is not providing as much coverage as the previous mast. Because of this, we’ve looked at ways to improve coverage, and during January our engineers will be installing upgrades on the mast.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, if you’re an EE pay monthly customer with a compatible phone you can use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.
For details on how to set up this service, please see our WiFi calling help pages.

We have reported signal issues multiple times since May/June 2023 and all we get is that the issue is being worked on. Having being told that one mast has been decommissioned with our next nearest one having so much phone traffic that is causing signal issues, to then being told that a new mast is being built (and I emphasis 'is') to later be told that you are having legal issues with the land owner to get a new mast built.
Then to top it all off to be told that we can use wifi calling to make/receive calls. I shouldn't have to rely on using another service to b able to send/receive calls and text. As you are charging me over £80 per month for calls/text/data etc that I cant use unless using wifi calling etc is totally unacceptable, and you wont even let us leave our contract penalty free!!!!
To be totally honest EE service and signal has declined ever since being taken over by BT

They keep repeating that it’s a legal issue now and out of their hands, ... I’m sure they wouldn’t get away with it in a big town or city.
A legal issue will affect a rural site & urban site equally.

Not many antennas in woods and fields in a town or city
The location of the antennas would be irrelevant in any legal dispute, the land on which the site is located is what matters. Legal & acquisition problems affect access to the site - whether that is a rooftop, greenfield or otherwise.
You need only look at ESN, SRN & S4GI projects for evidence of EE's approach to rural coverage.
The difference is that urban areas tend to have more overlapping sites than rural areas do - a single site outage can often cause less of a perceived impact in urban areas.

Just got an update via text:
"Network update: The problem at SY79BH has now been fixed, we recommend you restart your device. If you have already done this and are still having probleontacts."
Restarted 5g smart hub, but same issue still continues. Drops connection and reconnects continuously.
Shall persevere but looking like a device issue or maybe an registration issue.
