Update: 13 March 2025

Over the past month, our engineers have found further work on the build is needed. Unfortunately, this has delayed the power supply being installed to provide power for the new mast. We expect all work to be completed and the power to be installed by the beginning of May. Once the power has been installed, we can confirm an approximate date for the integration to start and the mast to be on-air.

We will keep you updated on this post

Over the past few weeks, our engineers have completed building the equipment needed for the new mast. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, we have experienced a slight delay integrating the mast onto the network and we are currently awaiting a date for the integration to be completed. Once we have a date for the integration, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 19 January 2024

Over the past few months, our engineers have started legal steps to legally acquire the land from the site provider, and we expect these to be completed in the next few months. We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 11 May 2023

Over the past few months, our engineers have submitted revised designs to the council for approval and these have been approved. As part of the approved planning permission, we have been requested to trim back trees in the area to make the area suitable for the equipment. Once the tree work has been completed, we can start building the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 09 February 2023

Over the past few months, our engineers have completed the required site drawings and submitted these for approval to the council. We have been requested to revise the designs for the new mast and will submit for this approval to the council next week. Pending a positive outcome from the revised designs, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the new mast. Once all legal steps are completed, we can confirm a build start date and an approximate on-air date for the new mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 11 November 2022

Over the past few months, our engineers have completed the required surveys for the revised location and the council have approved planning permission for the new mast. We have submitted site drawings for the area to the council for approval, once this step is completed and the designs are approved, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the new mast. Barring any unforeseen complications, we expect all legal steps to be completed and build to start by February 2023.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 06 September 2022

Our engineers have been made aware the area we had located and completed surveys for planning permission will no longer be available for the new mast to be built on the area, this is due to a clerical error with land ownership.

As soon as we were made aware the land we had originally surveyed and requested planning permission for was no longer an option for the mast, our engineers located another area at the same site for the mast to be situated. Our engineers are working with the council to complete surveys at the new area to make sure the area will be health and safety compliant and apply for planning permission from the landowner.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We have located a new site and the required surveys show the land is suitable, we are working with the landowner to agree legal acquisition for the site before we can start building the equipment needed for the mast.

We expect the new mast to be on air by the end of August 2021, barring any unforeseen delays.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 17 December 2020

Over the past few months our engineers have been working on a new location for the mast in Craven Arms.

We initially found a possible location for the replacement site, and progressed with surveys of the area. However, the survey showed that the area was unsuitable for the mast, and a new location was needed.

We located an alternative area for the new mast and completed all surveys. However, this location was being used as a COVID testing site and the build was delayed by a number of months. This has now ended, and we expect the mast to be built and on air by the end of March 2021.

We will continue to keep you updated on this post.

Update: 14 May 2020

Thank you for the feedback that has been provided. After monitoring the mast’s performance since the upgrades have been completed, we have found the replacement site is not yet providing the level of coverage we’re aiming for.

Work is continuing so that we can make further improvements, and we are looking for possible locations for a new site in the area.

We will continue to keep you updated on this post.

Update: 28 January 2020

Our engineers have now completed the required upgrades on the mast to improve coverage in Craven Arms.

We’d value your feedback on the service you’ve received in the area since the improvements have been completed.

To give feedback, please tap reply below and this will help us monitor the performance and improve coverage in the long-term.

We’re aware of an ongoing signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Craven Arms area.

Our mast in the area has been replaced and we’ve found the replacement mast is not providing as much coverage as the previous mast. Because of this, we’ve looked at ways to improve coverage, and during January our engineers will be installing upgrades on the mast.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, if you’re an EE pay monthly customer with a compatible phone you can use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.

For details on how to set up this service, please see our WiFi calling help pages.

Signal in the area has not improved the last couple of months at all I’m lucky to get any signal in my house now i might even think about finding a new network provider after over 15 years with you

Having been told that work was completed on the masts at Oakley Mynd and Myndtown on 4th-5th May, the coverage and signal is still atrocious.

I was advised to go to 3G as the problem was with the 2G and 4G signals.

It was and still is no better.

Once EE or T-Mobile was the best signal in the area - now it is the worst and I am considering having to change contracts.

I can actually see both masts from my home - so how others are managing I do not know.

Come on EE, sort it out please.

Don't worry about 5G - sort out your coverage now.

We all desperately need it at this time!!!

@CliveJuleffHave you got WiFi at home at all? If you do, and depending what model of phone you have, you might be able to use WiFi calling to get your phone working indoors.

You can also use thestatus checker to report a problem with network coverage.

@bristolian Yes, I have WiFi and can use it for calling.

However, given my job is as a Farm Manager, it is the network I need outside to give good coverage and reliability.

The two masts are actually in the corners of fields on the Farm.

You'd have thought I would have the best network coverage possible!!!

Yet another week goes by and the reception is still atrocious.

It appears from the entrance to the masts that there hasn't been any engineers to look to see if the problems can be resolved.

Come on EE, sort it out or else I will have to move to a new contract after nearly 20 years!!!

The only way I have been able to get signal since December 2019 is through my bt Wi-fi, I have dropped calls all the time, I don’t think I ever had 4g in craven arms ever, lots of my friends are in the same situation, I ring up EE every month but it’s still an ongoing thing, no signal and they keep saying it’s going to be sorted! I’d like to upgrade my phone but no point if I cannot use its full advantages! It’s costing me a fortune using my landline, when my internet went off over the weekend my kids where horrendous, couldn’t use their phones at all, no messages or calls! Hurry up and sort it out please, it’s now may 2020!
