I have a couple of Nokia phones, a Nokia XR30 as my personal phone and a Nokia XR20 that I use for work as I need a dual sim option.
My husband had the Nokia XR20 from new and it worked brilliantly which is why when I needed to upgrade mine I opted for one of those only for my new work phone but both this and the Nokia XR30 to just consistently drop calls, in the office, at home or out and about.
I try to make calls and 40% of the time it does not connect, I have a mobile signal that can go from full to nothing without moving the phone (my phone sits on my desk in a holder at work), I have stable internet (superfast) at home and just standard at work and the phones are always connected to that as back up.
I literally have to do a public service announcement when I start a business call to say that if the call drops I am so sorry but that for some reason EE can't keep me connected on their network, the more people I speak to the more who say they have the same issue. My calls can drop 10 - 15 times a day easily and on one call the most amount of times was 6 - not great for my professional image and annoying as hell.
My question is if all was well until the end of 2022 what the heck has happened in 2023 to make it impossible for me to trust EE to enable me to use my phone on the network that I pay to use when I need to.
I tried to call to find out, got linked to the new super dooper service, answered the questions and nada not another thing.
If anyone has any ideas of how to fix besides moving network I'd be keen to hear.

Does VoLTE/4G-calling show onscreen when you have call problems?
Does your phone have an option to set WiFi-calling as mobile-preferred cf WiFi-preferred? That may be worth experimenting with, if so.

@bristolian Thanks for the ideas - nothing shows on the screen when I have problems the first I know is that the call just drops.
I've got both phones set to Wi-Fi calling on so have just turned that off on the XR20 and will see what impact that has on calls dropping (fingers crossed that sorts it)
