In the last few weeks there’s been really bad signal in Kew to the point where no phone calls can be received or texts which makes it difficult to login to mobile apps. Is there a technical problem somewhere that needs to be fixed?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I would just like to say that the signal in Kew has been fixed, actually it was fixed last week. Thank you EE for fixing it.
Best regards,

Good evening @HKat.
Thanks for coming here.
When you search the area using the Status Checker do any known issues show?

Hello Katie_B,
Thank you for your reply. I have tried doing this many times, I can see that it says Indoors the signal is weak but then it crashes. I have good wifi so that’s not the problem.

Thanks for getting back to me @HKat.
Are you able to try on another device?
If this continues and you are unable to check the network status in your area I'd recommend giving us a call.
I'd also recommend using WiFi Calling.

Yes, I have tried it on my iPad and the same error message comes up.
EE signal used to be good in Kew. Something has definitely changed in the last few weeks. If it continues like this I’m afraid we will have to change provider as the EE signal is too weak for everyday life!
Thank you,
HKat

It also sounds like you're using the "check coverage" option to predict service in a given area.
Try using the "check status" option to search for known issues. It also includes a facility to report issues.

Thank you for your response. Apparently it’s a known problem but it doesn’t say how long it will take to fix. It’s been really bad for a few weeks.
Thank you again,
HKat

Signal continues to be bad indoors and we cannot receive calls or texts. Can someone please tell us what the plans are for fixing the issues with some timelines? It’s no good just saying that it’s a known problem.
Thank you,
HKat
