A95 by Boat of Garten 5G but not on the coverage checker

Hi,

Yesterday I was travelling up from Aviemore towards Granton-on-Spey on the A95 and went past Boat of Garten and randomly looked at my Apple car play screen where it displayed 5G and I just about did a double take. I have looked on the coverage checker and I can’t see it being covered so I’m curious why in the middle of nowhere there is 5G?

Anyone know?

@Yellowgoblin   The coverage checker is just a guide and not a guarantee of receiving any sort of signal.  If there is open space between the cell and tower and that area it could possibly receive a 5G signal.

Im not supposed to receive a working 5G signal indoors and it’s outside only at home according to the coverage checker but I know this is not true as my signal is spot on.

It may be that this new coverage has only recently gone-live, and not yet updated on the coverage checker.

In most cases there can be a few weeks lag between a new site being activated and the website being updated.
