Can someone point me in the direction of the best Antenna for the 5gee router I got delivered today, EE tell me they don't sell one to go with it?!

Thanks for the reply.  Just to confirm though - do you know which 2 of the 4 antenna ports on the router your external antenna is connected to please?

@BoltonSailor just to confirm, so as to avoid confusion, the second antenna Link (QuPanel 5G/LTE Mimo 4x4) on this thread is (as per the specs) a 4/5G 4x4 MiMo External Antenna, therefore All 4 of the Antenna feeder Connectors are connected to All 4 of the Routers Connectors.

The first Antenna Link (QuPanel LTE Mimo 4x4), was also a 4x4 LTE Mimo Antenna, but I ruled this one out as it did not cover the required the 4 and 5G Frequency Bands for use in the UK.

Yep it connects to all 4 and you need 4 of these to go inbetween

Thanks for this.  I think the one TSG have installed is this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Panorama-WMM8G-7-38-MiMo-%C2%ADten%C2%ADna-cable/dp/B07QNRYVXF

which is obviously 2x2 and explains why there are only 2 wires.

I'm still struggling to understand whether it matters which of the two ports on the router I connect them to (although I did see a significant improvement connecting them to the bottom two ports, despite TSG saying I should use the top 2.)  Or actually, should they have installed a 4x4 antenna to make use of all 4 ports?

@BoltonSailor in order to keep things on track and in the right place, I have replied to you in the other Tread where you posted here -

My reply reply is quiet lengthy and possibly a bit Techy but will hopefully give you some understanding on my thoughts on this.

regards Chris.

Hi @simonharryharri

Can I ask where you sourced the antenna from please?  I'm looking now and can only find EU sources so fearing I might get stung with import charges.  thanks.

@BoltonSailor Looks like the Polish Company has 5 Stockist in the UK if you look on thier Website, one of them is Solwise, which would probably be my choice as they are established in the LTE Sector and also stock Panorama and Poynting Aerials.

I got it from WiFi-stock.co.uk

Thanks for this.  I've just received mine.  I note that the cables are individually labelled with A1(+45 and -45) and A2(+45 and -45).  Did this affect how you plugged them into the router?  I can imagine A1 is the top two ports and A2 are the bottom two, but no idea how to distinguish the +45s and -45s!

I didn't even notice that just plugged them in randomly!
