Hi there,
My Vodafone PAYM contract is coming to the end of its minimum term in a few months and I am looking at various options as I’m going to retain my handset (iPhone 12 Pro)….
As a few EE based MVNO’s have launched 5G on their PAYG services, I was wondering if there way any word on EE doing the same themselves?
Thanks

Thanks for the brutally honest response lol!
Seeing as EE’s 4G is nearly always much faster (sometimes twice as fast) than Vodafone’s 5G in most areas I go to, it’s probably not that important anyway. Thanks anyway! 😊

Hi Leanne, thanks for the information… as I’m just looking for a sim as the phone is perfectly fine for my needs right now. I’ll have a look again nearer the time to see if it’s available then…. Thanks again 🙂

EE are disgrace refused 5G on Pay As You Go. Only 4G. Pointless. Went to smarty 5G pay as you go 60GB for £10 a month and getting good speed over 600Mbps down and over 60Mbps up.

I disagree with you. EE are just pure greedy. No wonder people's switch to smarty pay as you go for 5G. I think EE ought to be ashamed of themselves of forcing customer into monthly contract if they want 5G service.

As I’ve said, data speeds on Three are too inconsistent… I’ve used them in the past. One minute you’re hurtling along at 200-300mbit/s then all of a sudden it grinds to a slow crawl for three or four minutes, then it’s on steroids again.
I’d rather pay more for a consistent service…. and that service is supplied by anyone other than Three.
If 5G isn’t available when my contract is up, that isn’t going to bother me - it was just a “nice to have”.
