5G on PAYG

Hi there,

My Vodafone PAYM contract is coming to the end of its minimum term in a few months and I am looking at various options as I’m going to retain my handset (iPhone 12 Pro)….

As a few EE based MVNO’s have launched 5G on their PAYG services, I was wondering if there way any word on EE doing the same themselves?

Thanks

This is why I always want EE as they are pretty good with 5G but they say no 5G on pay as you go but told me if I want 5G with EE as it will have to order pay monthly contract 12 or 24 months (That's put me off)

@bulldog147  5G is still rolling out so it’ll alway be contract customers who get it first it was the same with 4G.   Smarty ( any mvno network) need to attract customers as they don’t have their own network so they will do anything they can to just that.

Hi

So Looked into this also.. look at 1pmobile.com

£15 quid a month 50Gb, 5G on EE

It;s brilliant.. and still on EE.

Just cancelled my EE to got EE on 1p mobile 🙂

So, to confirm, 1pmobile uses EE and you get 5G with no speed restrictions?

Just joined EE from O2 and paying £18pm for 125GB p/m but with the 100MB speed restriction. 14 day cooling off so might consider this instead. Looking at my average usage its less than 20GB per month

Any news at all for 5G coming to PAYG? It’s now Nov 2022. Just wondered if there was any developments in the 8 months gone by

@PARKERTEK  Nope, Not A Thing,  until 5G is more widely available I don’t see PAYG getting it.    PAYG didn’t get 4G calling until years after it was launched PAYG only has data over 4G it then dropped to 3G for calls/texts.

EE Customer Services - is 5G going to be available on EE PAYG soon, or do we all need to switch to 1pMobile ?.
