Hello. I was sent a text message from EE on the 6th of November saying "your current plan gives you access to our newest 5G standalone network". I was busy and forgot about it can I still respond to the text and get the process started ?

Great, thanks @Anth7.

That is definitely an EE number. I've seen some examples of spam emails about getting another SIM, so I just wanted to make sure.

If you are near an EE store, you can also pop in store with photo ID (either a passport or driving licence) and they can replace the SIM without needing to wait for it to arrive in the post.

Hi @Anth7

Thanks for coming back to the community.

There would be no time limit on when you can follow the steps in the text.

Just to be 100% sure it is genuine though, what number did the text come from?

Was it saying you needed to get a new SIM?

Hello Michael. The number the text came from is 66033 and it said EE will replace the sim "free of charge". I also need to set up scam guard I get 3 months free.
