Unlimited Data Add on question

Pipdoc

After waiting many hours for someone to answer my calls, I've resorted to this in the hope that someone will assist me.

I want to buy an unlimited data add on. Before I do, I need to clarify if I buy this add on, if my current T&C's apply? My contract allows me to use the data as though I'm still in the UK i.e. I have no restrictions.

Is the £12.50 (ish) per month in addition to what I'm already paying? (£20)

I want to start a new contract but I want to speak to a person before I do. How can I do this? Please don't say call 150.... I've been trying for weeks to get in touch.

Thanks

Hi @Pipdoc

Thanks for coming here.

Please see our data-add-on-terms-jan-2021.pdf (ee.co.uk) for full details on the unlimited data add-on and using this abroad.

If you would like to change the contract and speak to someone you can visit an EE Store or try calling us again on 150 and the team will be happy to help 🙂

Leanne.

On contract there a FUP limit of 50GB on all data when abroad. Beyond that you will be slowed down or charged per MB or even asked to justify yourself.

Thanks for the reply, but the FUP that you mention isn't applied to either my wifes or my account. We venture to mainland Europe for the maximum 90 days each year and we have full use of our 160gb data (on each account). When I said we have no restrictions in my original post... i meant just that.

Depending on our location, we get up to 120mbs (currently at around 80mbs) and my data has almost been used for my current month.

I forgot to say per billing month.

Im not sure what relevance the 'per billing month' has.

Like i said.... no restrictions of any kind have ever been applied since Brexit.

It's the period over which you may use up to 600 GB w/out breaking the FUP. It was 1000 GB per billing month on contracts taken out when Unlimited Data plans 1st came out & was reduced later.

It has nowt to do with Brexit as the FUP applies worldwide.

You previously said the FUP when abroad is 50gb.  Then you correct that to say it's 600gb.

Quote ."On contract there a FUP limit of 50GB on all data when abroad"

I mentioned Brexit only because up the point of exit from the EU, the roaming issues/costs that now exist, didn't prior to Brexit.

Btw...to be clear, The 600gb is the point at which EE can decide that the usage is so high that it considers the account to be a business account. It's not the limit at which it decides the FUP has been breached.

Sorry, I'm getting mixed up between 2 FUPs. Ignore what I said about a 600 GB FUP. It's to do with Unlimited Data plans.

It has nowt to do with Brexit as the 50 GB roaming FUP applies worldwide. Roaming issues/costs always existed outside the EU.
