Hi all,
I am currently with EE on a SIM only plan after switching from Sky Mobile. Since then I have gotten an unlocked S22 Ultra as a birthday present as an upgrade. On my old device, my Snapchat could not access WiFi networks and would only use mobile data- this only began to happen when I swapped to the EE SIM card. Upon getting the S22, Snapchat began to use the WiFi network, but was unable to once I swapped my SIM into the new phone. As such I have figured out that this is a SIM issue only and not one with my home network. It is not a Safer SIM nor are there any content filters applied, and fixes such as turning mobile data off and blocking Snapchat from auto swapping to mobile data do not work. Snapchat is the only app that has this problem.
Thanks in advance for any solutions.

No SIM can affect the WiFi capability of a device. They are separate functions.

There will usually be a setting to dictate whether individual apps have permission to use mobile data and/or WiFi, to connect to the internet.
I suspect the answer to your conundrum will lie in this menu option.
