SSL issues when using EE cellular data

Isildore
Explorer

I've noticed in the last two weeks that I can't access certain apps like ChatGPT and Snapchat because it's flagging up that  the server is using the wrong SSL certificate.

It works perfectly via WiFi and if I use a VPN on cellular, it works fine also. I have restarted my phone twice and it's not made any difference. My handset is the Sony Xperia 1V but there was no software update prior to the issues and other networks aren't having this issue.

Thanks

Hi @Isildore

Have you tried a different browser.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

With ChatGPT, it is the same either in Firefox or Edge as well as the app. Snapchat was just the app.

Thanks for coming to the community @Isildore

Are you able to try the SIM card in another device to see if you can access the apps without getting this message?

This will help us to know what could be causing this for you 🙂

Leanne.
