Coverage in Twinbrook and Derriaghy

Christopher_G
EE Community Support Team

We are aware of a mobile signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Twinbrook and Derriaghy area. Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site at the end of November 2025, as this was requested by the land owner.

As soon as we were made aware our equipment would need to be relocated, our engineers began looking for a new location for the mast. To restore the same level of service in the area the previous mast provided, we will require three new masts:

The first site is live and working, but is in the process of being improved. All going well, this should be completed by the end of December and will improve service for affected users.

The second site is built, but is awaiting power supply. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this should be completed by the end of February 2026.

The third is awaiting surveys to make sure the location is suitable for the equipment.

We will post any updates here.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.

For information on who can use WiFi Calling and how to set up this service, please see our Using WiFi Calling Help page.

Hi, my postcode is in BT17 - my phone signal is very poor. I work from home and need a good signal, the mast that was removed from the tower block in November had been ongoing for over a year, why was this not envisaged by EE a long time before…

I will definitely have to move to a better provider if this is not sorted.
and yes I have WiFi calling on. My broadband is with sky and not EE, will I get reimbursed for using this..

[Mod edit - postcode removed, please don't share this in full in public]

I am BT17 as well , and I can’t even use wi fi calling , it does not work in the house . The only place I can get signal is upstairs in a back bedroom . Even with the first mast up & running , it is no better than.
I think my only option is to move provider. My neighbours are using Three & have good signal inside the house .

There's no reason for this to be the case. Perhaps start a new thread explaining the issues you're having with WiFi-calling, and whether you've been able to use it previously.
