If I have a roaming pass on my account, can my kids use my hotspot when we are in France without being charged the daily fee?

That's the point - you have full use of your UK allowance for the daily charge (or roaming pass monthly fee if chosen), but that's subject to a 50GB fair-usage limit whilst roaming.

So you're saying that whatever I choose, I will only have 50GB of data to use?
