Personal hotspot question

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can say if personal hotspot is unlimited? A family member got a message about using 80% of gifted data even tho they’ve not been gifted it and are on unlimited data. They used their personal hotspot and I read up that there’s a 600g fair use and then they’ll deprioritise you. The message is confusing. See photo.

That's right! You can't gift any more but you can use the rest of your data for yourself.

It's only talking about data that you may potentially gift each month from the 1st 100GB of all your data to other nos. on your a/c if you choose to. It's just a warning just in case you wanted to. You may safely ignore it & carry on using data for your own purposes including hotspotting.

As you use data for your own use you are eating into this gifting allowance even when you are not actually gifting it.

Notice that it didn't say "You've gifted data you can gift" just that "You've used data you can gift".

Ah so if you use data that goes down? E.g if you use 100g you then can’t gift any even if you are on unlimited and haven’t gifted yet?
