Not registered on network, invalid pin when trying to enable FDN

I have a Samsung Galaxy s10+. It has two sims in it. An o2 PAYG sim, which works fine and an EE PAYG sim which is temperamental to say the least.

It was working ok, apart from the occasional refusal to accept calls which was resolved by turning off the phone and then turning on again. Now it has decided to disconnect itself from the network apart from receiving an occasional text.

If I try to make a call or access mobile data then it gives me the message that  it isn't connected to the network.

Following one of your guides I am trying to enable FDN but when I try to put in the 0000 pin it says that is not valid. So I don't know what to try next or how I get a valid pin.

By the way, I have already checked that the sim is in the phone correctly. Please can someone help?

Hello @ddragons99 ,

Welcome to the community,

If you have not set up a pin for your SIM card, then it would be 1111, have you tried that?

When did you last make a chargeable call or text?

Have you done a network check where you are?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Thank you I hadn't, so I tried it and it locked me out. I then tried to unblock it using the PUK code in my account. It allows me to enter a new code, then tells me that it is invalid.

I did a network check and it is saying that everything is good.

@ddragons99 , did you not set up a pin for the SIM card originally? You may need to get a replacement SIM card, which you can do by either ordering it online, ringing customer service or going to a high street store. Make sure that it is a replacement SIM card, if you want to keep the same mobile number.

I take it the phone is not network locked, should not be if bought recently, anyway.

I may have done but cannot find it. The annoying thing is it was working fine until recently. I did have the data problem once before when my data for the month ran out and when the new month's data began it didn't seem to recognise it was there. I turned off and on and it sorted itself out. This time it isn't working.

I have sent off for another sim. I'm afraid that if that doesn't sort out the problem then I shall not bother with EE any more. I know quite a few people who use EE with similar problems, so it is a bit worrying.

Fingers crossed that fixes the problem, @ddragons99.

Let us know what happens please.
