Yesterday I purchased a new mobile phone and a new mobile number to go with it. I topped up and brought a pack. Everything thing was fine, except as soon as I powered on my device with the SIM card in it, I received 2 text messages from shein asking has (a woman's name I have never seen before) seen the latest offers. I thought that was odd but I am aware that phone numbers do get recycled and assumed that the number was still registered on a cold calling list or two somewhere. I got several more similar messages throughout the day. Anyway I immediately began the long and tedious process of updating my mobile number that was linked to my accounts ( social media, housing, bank etc) however on several occasions, from different sites, I received a "sorry this number is already linked to an account" notification. So I rang customer service this morning and they kindly reset the network settings. She said that after restarting my phone the problem should be solved if not then the only solution would be to contact the sites directly and explain the situation to them and request that they remove the number. Of course that too is long and tedious. Logically it makes more sense to just get another number. But if I can avoid that too id prefer that. Is there any other solution? Other than contacting the sites directly or purchasing another new SIM card and then explaining the issue to customer service in order to get them to transfer my pack over to the new number? ( As I am obviously not going to pay another £15) Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @Lexi8925,
Welcome to the Community!
I'm so sorry to hear about what has happened with your new number, and I can understand how frustrating this must be for you. If you get back in touch with our team they will be able to get the number attached to your SIM changed to another, which hopefully won't have this issue.
