No data allowance after bill date

One of my plans has received no data allowance after the bill date (refreshes on 25th of each month).

The user has been overseas for a month but returns to the UK tomorrow. The advisor I spoke to on 150 suggested that because of this, the user would receive no data until the next bill date (at the end of January).

I see that there are some posts around gifting data if you're abroad (i.e. it's not allowed) but the user isn't intending to gift data, she simply expects to be able to use it when she lands in the UK tomorrow morning.

The advisor on 150 seemed to think that EE would be taking payment and not giving the data allowance until the next bill date. I'm sure that's wrong (and if it's not then I'll make sure I get reimbursed...) but I'm not sure at this point what the process is to get the user's data allowance refreshed.

That happens when you are at a place where you can't use your UK allowances, most of the non-EU, when your bill date occurs. It should refresh when they return to UK.
