@GNS1 , have you tried rebooting your phone?Have you made sure that you have data enabled insettings?

Have you been able to use mobile data on this phone previously? Does the phone show coverage indicators, and are you able to make & receive calls?

Have been able to use Mobile data on this phone until today and are still able to make and receive calls

The only logical conclusion is therefore either a network fault in your locality, or a lack of data allowance. The latter can be checked by texting BALANCE to 150.
The former - use the "check service status" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker
