Full Works SIM Only - Loss of 5G network when FUP data used up

Hi,

Is there a reason why I am denied access to the 5G NR network when I have gone above my monthly data FUP? I am on an unlimited Full Works SIM only and my data is depriotised but this should not block access to 5G?

Where are you to have a monthly FUP?

@rasseru16  That’s 600Gb a month before you hit the FUP and then it’s only limited on speed and you’ll find that this speed is something like 10Meg so if it’s 4 or 5G you’ll not see a difference as it’ll not load any faster if it was 5G instead of 4G as it’s still 10Meg.

What are you hoping to do over 5G at 10Meg that you can not do with 4G at 10Meg ?     You are also not prioritised as you have reached the FUP and you’ll probably find this is why you’re limited to 4G only.

All unlimited data plans have a fair usage policy on EE.

Hi,

I'm not sure where you are getting the 10Mbps speed cap from but my speeds are still completely acceptable, it's the lack of 5G NR access that gets shut off that I wanted to query. It's not a huge deal but wanted to share my experience if any other users experience the same as me.

@rasseru16   From the T&Cs    And it’s probably why you are still getting a good speed.  As for not being able to use 5G it could be a sort of traffic management as you’ve gone over the FUP.   But that’s a guess.

Unlimited Data Plans

50GB fair usage policy applies outside UK. Personal, non-commercial use only. If you regularly tether 12 or more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan.

We will consider usage above 600GB/month to be non-personal use and have the right to apply traffic management controls to deprioritise your mobile traffic during busy periods or to move you to a business plan.

You can gift up to 100GB. Data usage on an unlimited plan will decrement from giftable allowance. Any data boost allowance will be added to the giftable allowance.
