I've been trying for the last 2 days to gift some data to my wife who has run out but keep getting the following message under both phones:
"Sorry, we can't show this device's data right now. Please try again later."
When looking in the usage pages its fine, only shows this when selecting the phones to gift data.
This is very annoying as she's unable to use her phone when not on wifi.

Do you get the same message using the EE app and logging into the online account?

Morning,
I'm getting exactly the same message. I've tried the app and online and tried it on several devices. I'm trying to send data to my daughter.
She currently has no WIFI so is unable to connect to the internet!
This isn't the first time this has happened. It happens almost every time I try to gift data!

I've had the same problem for over 2 weeks. Did you get it resolved? I just went to gift data again and same error message

I've had the same issue for the last 2 weeks and I regularly gift data to my children. I've tried 3 different browsers, a different computer and the app. Still no luck.

I know how handy it is to have data gifting working.
Have you tried to delete the app and install it again, and also to clear the cookies and cache on your browser?
If that doesn't help, I'd recommend speaking to our tech guides so they can look at this further for you.
