Been trying to gift data for over a week now, when you click the option to gift, the screen turns grey and doesn’t move?

Have you tried using your main online account rather than the app to see if this resolves the issue you're seeing?
It could be worth deleting the app and reinstalling, just to make sure everything is up to date, alongside making sure your device is fully up to date too.

Same problem for me. I regularly have problems gifting data with the app but this is a new way for this to happen.

I get errors via the web on my computer as well. This time it's a "We will have it fixed soon" message because it can't show how much data I have or the person to whom I am gifting, which means I am unable to gift.
I would also add that, although I have liked the proposed solution (as this is usually what I have to do when gifting is buggy), it still really hasn't fixed the grey screen problem.

Does the same happen if you try and gift data logging into your EE account online?
Have you tried deleting and re-installing the app?

I was getting the same and was driving me mad. I think its an issue with the app on iphone? I managed to get this to work by going into the app and click on the "Manage" tab at the bottom (rather than home screen) Then click on "Mobile and Sims" tab at the top of the screen. Scroll down to gift data. This perhaps resets some caches in the app and gives you the right screen? It then works from the home page.
