Checking data usage

I have an unlimited data plan... But I want to know howuch data I use... There's a chance I can lower my contract to a limited data plan when it's time... But I can't see my usage.

I can enable it on the phone but that's just a snapshot. I want to see monthly usage over the contract to see monthly usage

Thanks

The Fair Usage on an Unlimited plan is 600GB per month.

If you have breached this over a continuous period you may be contacted by EE, if they deem it to be excessive in line with the T&Cs, to move you to a more suitable plan.

If you are worried about approaching a Fair Usage Policy, I don't know why you would want to lower your data allowance from an Unlimited plan. At most you might get 200GB on a Limited Plan if there is a promotion, but more typically 100GB or 80GB plans are available. You may find that an Unlimited Plan can work out better value with some of the promotions and limited time offers that run from time to time.

I would advise either contacting EE to find out what you're using, or try and use your phones in-built Data Usage features to track your usage over the next while to give yourself an idea of your typical usage.

Now, or when the time comes to upgrade, EE Customer Services or the in-store teams will be able to see a rolling average of your usage on your account.

Unfortunately there is no way to view this in the EE App when you are on an Unlimited plan.

So how can I tell if I am approaching the fair usage limits?

Hello @papabrown,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

To view your current usage on an unlimited plan, login to the EE website click Manage, click your Unlimited data to get to the Data and Usage page, then click See details. From the list here the allowance marked Active, acquired on your most recent bill date, GB left is how much data you have currently used so far.

You can also see past couple of months data usage on this page and your current giftable allowance at the top.

Most phones also allow you to setup data usage tracking within the settings to keep track of it that way also.
