This problem came with the telephone, last Summer!
I have tried everything that I can think of, I have added EE Wi-Fi,
I have added the EE App, but nothing seems to help.
This is a problem as my South American wife like to use, WhatsApp,
to speak with her family who are spread around there and Spain,
Any advice will be gratefully accepted in the hope that it will get
me out of the dilemma.
Thank you for reading this.
Mike.

@McSkirmish Have you allowed the apps to use cellular data ? this is a setting within the device .

Hi Chris_B, thank you for the reply, I did look at that option, but I can't
remember if I did and as my wife is out just now, I can't check, but I do
believe that I would have.
Thanks for the phone numbers.

OK Chris_B, thank you for the tip, the mobile data was off
and to get it on I had to go to a different area of the settings,
the SIM controls the on/off bit, but the information about
the status, is in another area, called, more control settings,
it is on now and I have clicked that it is a fix, but I won't know,
until it is away from home, I also signed in to the EE WI-FI, so
something might work.
Thanks again.
Mike.

Easy to test at home. Switch WiFi off momentarily, try using mobile data.
Then re-enable it afterwards.
