My children both have lines on my account and have never had issues with data.
however over the last 3months they seem to be unable to connect to certain sites, one being Whatsapp, unless they use my hotspot?
Has anyone else had this issue of know of something we can try?

It is becase content lock is active. Deactive content lock on the line EE app or online account.
If you deactive they will have access to adult sites/content.
