Hey guys, just moved to ee and got my sim card however I cannot place any calls so am stuck to get help from support

Any ideas are welcome please!

It sounds like you're a new customer to EE and are porting your number in, but have just taken delivery of your new SIM, is that right? Are you using the same phone as with your previous network?

Does your phone show coverage indicators? Are you in the UK?

Yes that's correct, I've just done my pac code stuff online but on the number ee have assigned me, everything works fine but I just can't call out, I receive texts and data works fine

I am using the same phone as what I was using with Vodafone that is correct!

It says at the top vo) LTE1 then 4g next to it with signal indicator also

Yes I I'm in the UK

On the basis that you supplied your PAC as part of ordering, when did you first insert your new SIM into your phone? That would dictate when your port-in day should be.

If you first activated your new SIM Wednesday 31st before approx 5pm, then your port-in would ordinarily be today and thus your symptoms potentially explained.

When you say "everything works fine but I just can't call out", what is working fine?

So I didn't do the pac as part of ordering. I've done that afterwards

But I assume the number they've supplied me should work?

Ah, I put the sim card in yesterday so that may be why then!

As in. Internet, receiving texts works, just not calls, it shows the ee symbol and also Internet and data works as expected

Just so I can be sure on what's happening with your PAC, am I correct in thinking you set this up online after receiving the SIM? 

If that's correct, what date and time did you do this, and was there any mention a 'port date'?
