I have the EE 4G Internal Smart Hub. Can you purchase and external signal booster to connect to the Hub?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

A "signal booster" is a very popular term amongst users in poor coverage areas, but they've never really existed except in some very specialist situations.
WiFi-calling is EE's recommended way of dealing with poor indoor coverage which is - sooner or later - inevitable in some places. Connect your phone to a WiFi-network and enable WiFi-calling in the settings. You can now make & receive calls, send & receive text messages using WiFi as the coverage instead of the mobile network.

WiFi-calling is the solution anytime you have a working WiFi signal, which your router provides.

What does that mean please?

Your hub provides a WiFi signal.
That allows you to use WiFi-calling on any compatible phone, providing you with indoor coverage anywhere in range of the hub.

@Maverick777 : Signal boosters are no longer supplied.
Consult Check service in your area to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area.

Does your router have antennae ports & of the required type, 2 x TS9 or SMA, I gather?

The spec lists all of EE's current 4G bands (800Mhz, 1800Mhz, 2100Mhz, 2600Mhz) but only N78 for 5G-NR. The other 5G-specific band you should seek is N28-700Mhz
