Problem trying to link 4GEE mobile wi-fi device

Trying to link my 4GEE dongle in myEE account. Inserted mobile number of the dongle, then it tells me to verify with passcode number. Says to login to retrieve sms message with passcode number. The enter password box comes up and is filled in with

my  EE password - BUT then says invalid password - Any Ideas

Hi - I'm not sure what model of router it is, but anyway I sorted the problem by temporarily putting the SIM into an old phone just to receive the code by text.  Not very elegant solution but it worked and I'm up and running.  Thanks for getting back anyway
