They are con artists! Mines doing the same.. a two year “contract”, a year in and it’s useless.

Where do I start?
my box works roughly 20% of the time. It varies from showing a red light on the network (even though my laptop says full WiFi connection) to if it does work (rarely), just dropping out signal and/or being incredibly slow.
When I went to the ee shop I got it from they said- everything seems fine and I should ask online.
I have a whole year left to pay on my contract at £19.00 at month yet no working box/internet and zero support from the store I signed with.

Thanks for coming back to me @Tararose218
I'm sorry to hear this is happening with your router, could you check your postcode on our coverage checker and hit 'check status' please? It will let you know if we're aware of any problems in this area and allow you to report one if we're not, to see if this could be a signal issue.
Thanks.
Leanne.

I’m not sure you’ve understood what I’ve said correctly… the box only works 20% of the time over the past 12 months I’ve had it.
It is not a “one off” issue, and that response is entirely unhelpful and typical of the EE customer service ive received so far.
To anyone seeing this I highly urge you to steer clear of any products from this company- they will trap you into a contract and you won’t actually get any service that was promised.
I am paying £19.00 a month for a 4gee mifi box which DOES NOT work and as you can see- all you will get from EE is ridiculous suggestions so they avoid actually fixing the issue.

Hi @Tararose218
The network status checker would show if we have any reported signal issues for the area that could cause the router to show no signal and not connect. If nothing is showing and this is not the problem, please call us on 07953 966 150 and the team will be happy to help.
Leanne.

Agree. TOTAL CON ARTISTS. Got 100Gb on my mini 4g hub. EE DIDN'T tell me I've now got to pay daily roaming charge in Spain. Never buying EE product again.

UPDATE:EE NEVER resolved the issue after multiple attempts via email, phone and in-store to resolve it. Escalated to "Executive complaint" office Helen McCluskey who didn't attempt to remedy the situation and offered zero apology. When I asked for the final response letter to be sent via email/digital rather than "post" where EE's responses always magically get lost... she sent me a form for a FOI request link. UNDERHAND company that are only out to fleece customers. I recommend contacting the communications ombudsman.
Any other unhappy customers please respond to this post and I will be happy to include you in the process. Time to show EE they are not above the law.
