New Router won't download emails

So I have a new EE account - I live on a boat in London , have a Huawei router, which am about to attach to a mast. Really pleased with the improved coverage ( have just moved from 02). Accessing the internet via my mobile is also loads better - so Great. BUT - no emails. The EE router won't download  or send from  my SMTP account. There is no issue with the account - it downloads from anywhere else.  The sim in my mini mobile device downloaded fine ( with a top up account). I can see from a forum google that this seems to be the thing - but I am struggling to understand the solutions.

Who is your email provider? What have you put as the Incoming & Outgoing Server settings (all of them) in your Mail app, obscuring your name?
