Laptop will not connect to 4GEE Wifi Router

Hi I am looking for help please.

I have an EE 4G WiFi Router with a sim only unlimited data sim card in it  which I use for my internet connection  as we cannot have broadband in our location.

The issue I have is that my laptop will not connect to the internet through it. It did yesterday but not today. (NOTE it will connect to a Vodafone connection we have, but not EE)

I have tried restarting my laptop, forgetting the network and re entering the Key/password but it still will not connect.

Every other device in the house will connect and works fine ( TVs, iPad,, iPhone) and we have good speed on a speed connection test ( 40.5 download and 21.5 upload).

Does anyone have any idea why my laptop might be refusing to connect to the internet with EE? As I say, the laptop will connect using my Vodafone internet which I have as a back up but not to EE which is the faster service.

Help!

Thanks

Hi

yes, I’ve done all of that several times and yes, everything is up to date?

it’s really strange because it was connecting to the old sim perfectly and the issue has only arised since I put the new sim in (with refreshed data allowance) but it still doesn’t explain why every other device connects and allows browsing etc but on my laptop it connects with no internet?

so very strange and frustrating?

OK, thanks @Melons3230

It is strange that all of your other devices are connecting OK. What model of laptop is it?

Chris

It’s a Dell laptop?

As I say, I’ve got an EE 4G data only sim to use at my caravan and prior to me inserting the new EE sim it was connecting fine - it’s almost like it’s remembered the WiFi name and connects but not picking up the data from the sim?? I’ve even tried renaming the SSID name to see if that worked?  I’ve just tried to connect my daughters laptop which connects and browses fine?

I think that you may have already tried this, but are you able to forget the WiFi network completely on your laptop and reset up from scratch, @Melons3230?
