IPV6 / IPV4 problem

MrsB71
Explorer

I have a Huawei B818 263 4G router and an EE data sim card. Although the sim does work on some devices it is not loading all content and there are several devices it will not connect to. I have read that with the EE sim this can be due to the router being set for IPV6 and it needs to be changed to IPV4. Nowhere on the internet can I find out how to do this on the AI Life app or website for my router. I can get through so many stages but on the profile management stage it says to choose IPV4 next to the IP dropdown. On my profile management settings it does not have an IP dropdown, just a APN which offers me the options of Auto, PAP and CHAP. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Hi @MrsB71

Thanks for the screenshots. The APN settings look correct.

It appears the Huawei B818 263  has a hidden field which contains the IPV4/IPV6 settings. Which are not easy to get to.

You could try creating a new APN profile, using the same settings as the exiting profile from the screenshot.
If the IPV option shows while creating the profile you will be able to set it. If it doesn't show, you'd need to try a quick internet search on "how to show IPV4 settings on a Huawei B818 263" or something similar.
