How do I check my sim-only broadband balance?

Hello,

I have a pay as you go sim-only monthly contract for my broadband. I was cut off recently because my credit ran out and I didn't know how to check the balance. I have an EE account but it doesn't let me check the balance. Does anyone know where I'd find it? (I've been going round in circles.) Also, is there a customer service number for EE that's not premium rate (I was given an 08454 123662 number but it's very expensive}? Many thanks.

@Pallas1 : EE shouldn't be providing a 0845 no. for contact. Where did you dig it up from? Google? Huh!

Try calling CS on the Freephone no. (Opt 2) in my sig.

When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

Hi XRaySpeX,

This is really helpful, thanks - yes, I found the 0845 number on Google - I couldn't find anything on the EE website. I've only just signed up to mobile broadband, and I just wanted to keep an eye on my credit in case I need to top up (but don't want to if I don't have to as I've only just bought more credit) - is there any way to do this?

Thanks, Pallas!

Hi JimM11

Thanks for this - I tried looking, but I couldn't find anything that related directly to my query. I'll take a deep breath and try again.

Thanks, Pallas1

Hi @Pallas1,

Welcome to the EE Community

Is your mobile broadband linked up to your online account? As if so you should be able to view both credit balance and data balance in the manage section of the website or app.

If you need to link it up, when you login there is a Link a product option, you would need to follow that and enter the mobile number for your mobile broadband, it will then send a PIN via text to link it up.

To get the text you will need to visit the router admin page at 192.168.1.1 on your browser and login with the admin password which is located on the keep me card, or on the bottom or back of your router.

Once linked you should be able to view your credit balance in your online account. If you have any issues linking or you are already linked but don't see your credit balance, definitely give us a call on the free numbers provided above and one of our guides will help.

Alex

That's great, Alex, I'll try that - many thanks.
