External Antenna Connection

I have just received my new 5G Smart Hub. My original antenna has 2 SMA connectors but my new router has 4 TS9 connectors. Is it ok to just fit splitters to the existing SMA connectors like these?

TUOLNK SMA Female to Dual TS9 Right Angle Male Splitter Cable SMA to TS9 Coax Cable 6inch(15cm) Comp...

And does it matter what order they are connected?

Hi @Davemog3

I don't see this being a problem, but if you'd like to get a definitive answer, I'd recommend speaking with our Tech Gurus.

Does it matter what order the 4 connectors are in there is nothing in the instruction manual regarding external antenna connection?

Hi @Davemog3

I'm not sure this is something that we can support you with. It may be worth checking with our technical support team.

My advice would be do not use Splitters (there not Splitters there 2 lots of Coax Cable shorted together), there's a reason the Router has 4 Antenna Connector Ports.

Get a decent 4x4 Mimo Antenna or use 2 lots of 2x2 Mimo Aerials for the job in hand and for the correct Frequency Bands required.

Thanks for the replies, I have tried the splitters seeing as i had already ordered them. I have gone from 16mb/s on Three through the antenna to 25mb/s on EE with no antenna, I am now getting 55mb/s on EE since I connected the antenna using the splitters. I'm happy with that for now, maybe I will try connecting a 4x4 Mimo antenna at a later date to see if I can get mor speed.
