EGEE mini wifi not working

I purchased the 30GB mini device last week and it ran out of data after just 4.5 days. Finally worked out how to top it up this afternoon and can see I am back in credit but my devices says it's not connected to the internet - what am I missing?

I've charged up the mini and re-booted a couple of times and the top-up confirmation email says I can use straight away. However, the website says if it hasn't worked within 24 hours to give them a call, is there a time delay between top-up and when it becomes active? Topped up with £10 / 15GB

Hi Jon,

Finally got it working after a very frustrating few hours yesterday and today. For anyone else having the same issues, here are the steps I took:

1. Read the quick start guide in it's entirety!! It's too easy to skip and go straight to using the device

2. Register your device: Mobile phone number can be found by clicking on the wifi address on your device and a login window appears with the mobile number displayed at the top, use this to register. You also need this number to top-up

3. How to check how much credit/data you have left: Open up a new browser and type in IP address (found in the Quick Start guide) - mine is 192.168.1.1, includes info on status of your device, messages etc

4. Top Up: Go to the Login screen (see point 1 above) click on Top Up to buy more credit. Once actioned you need to click on Buy to actually convert the payment into data - this was not clear and took me ages to work out as it's not intuitive

5. Device still not working: re-boot by pressing power button for 10 seconds

Can you disconnect from the device then connect again?
